The rich biodiversity, elevated terrain, temperate climate and diverse microclimates found in the Uraga District of Ethiopia has influenced a spectrum of distinct flavors for the premium Arabica coffee varietals found at the southern slope of the Ethiopian mountain escarpment. Over the drying beds of the Megerssa Drying Station one will find coffee trees flourished amidst flowering Cordia and landmarked Acacia tree shades.

Mr. Megerssa began his coffee experience over 26 years ago and has gained experience in coffee farming, station management and coffee exportation. Built from that knowledge, Mr. Megerssa now proudly owns and oversees the Megerssa Drying Station and fosters a seamless operation from cultivation to shipment of the coffee by maintaining the highest standards of quality assurance and traceability. Ripe coffee cherries of the Kumie, Diga and Wilsho varietals are delivered to the drying station by smallholder coffee farmers, where they are then carefully sorted and handpicked before their natural drying process on the drying beds.
